2018
Global Organic Standard (GOTS) Certification
4tify chemistry for functional finishing also meet the compliance and are certified in 2018 with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). GOTS also ensure the organic status of harvesting of 4tify textiles, chemistry, raw materials, manufacturing up to to labeling is environmentally and responsibly produced in order to provide credible assurance to the consumer.
4tify in collaboration with Global Organic Textile Standard has already demonstrated the growth in consumption of organic fibers. By the remarkable demand for unified processing criteria from the industry and retail sector that has gained universal recognition, it enables processors and manufacturers to supply organic textiles with one certification accepted in all major markets.
2019
BLUESIGN SYSTEM PARTNERS CERTIFICATION
In 2019, 4tify obtained the Bluesign System Partners certification from Bluesign Technologies Ag Switzerland which represents the vision and mindset of responsible and sustainable manufacturing of textile consumer products from 4tify. Bluesign is a system that provides safer and more sustainable environments for people to work in and everyone to live in. Powered by a holistic approach, Bluesign traces each textile’s path along the manufacturing process, making improvements at every stage from factory floor to finished product.
By incorporating and integrating Bluesign system practice in our product design, development and manufacturing, 4tify will be creating changes that contributes to the environmental impact of textiles for good as well as enhancing 4tify efforts in sustainable processes step by step globally.
ROADMAP TO ZERO & ZDHC CERTIFICATION
In 2019, 4tify obtained the RoadMap to Zero and Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals(ZDHC) certification of our functional chemical products that are used widely in the finishing process of clothing and fashion industry. Because 4tify wants to ensure safer products, cleaner water and fresher air that will truly benefit both people and planet, our solutions would hopefully be to help the industry transform their value chains. When it comes to using safer chemical inputs, it's important to know what the options are. That's where the 4tify ZDHC compliance comes in. 4tify supports good chemical management by helping avoid the use of banned substances during production and manufacturing. This solution facilitates the creation of end products that meet the requirements for cleaner outputs.
We believe in a world where things are made without harmful chemicals. Consumer demands can be met without depleting natural resources. Our goal is to make that happen. We connect, innovate and empower to change how products are made. 4tify implements sustainable chemistry, driving innovations and best practices in textile, apparel and footwear industries to protect consumers, workers and the environment, to protect the place we call home.
PARTNERSHIP WITH VERTICAL EUROPE
In 2019, 4tify signed a memorandum and partnership agreement with Vertical Europe to develop a jointly sustainable solution for the textile and fashion industry. Using 4tify technology of functional chemistry, customization of textile and artificial intelligence, and with the current research done by Vertical on closed loop fashion and sustainable materials development, the two entity will devote and develop clusters of research and development on solving the fashion wastage as well as recycling of waste materials problems in the region using chemistry and biotechnology.
2020
Member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition
In 2020, 4tify joined TheSustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), an organization with the vision of an apparel, footwear, and textiles industry that produces no unnecessary environmental harm and has a positive impact with the The Higg Index which is a suite of tools that enables brands, retailers, and facilities of all sizes at every stage in their sustainability journey to accurately measure and score a company on the people and communities associated with its activities.
IMPACT TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY
One of the biggest retailers in the USA in 2020 has agreed to progress on adoption and implementation of using recycled and sustainable fabric and material developed by 4tify with our certified mill to produce fabric for the retail fashion product line. The adoption will reduce contribution of annual wastage of unsustainable material of 3 million yards or an equivalent of 1,200 tons of unsustainable and non recyclable waste. As well as 3,600 tons of CO2 emission reduction equivalent by adopting the sustainable and recycled material and fabric by the retailers.
Another retailer in 2019, by using our 4tify softening solution on the finishing of their woven fabric production has contributed to the reduction of 2.0 tons of carbon dioxide emission to the environment and the 15,000 ton water saving of resources due to the saving and reduction of dyeing process in the production.
6,500 tons of water saving anticipated by consumers that bought the garment made using 4itfy solution by one of the fashion brands in the easy clean treatment finishing of the fabric for the garment making process.
13 million kilowatt energy saving for consumer and environmental sustainability using our 4tify no-ironing technology on shirts, the consumer is able to contribute by no ironing and saving 13 million kilowatt of electricity and energy saving.
We have achieved more than 90,000-ton water saving, over 90,000-ton textile waste effluents reduction as well as not less than 220,000 lb (100,000 kg) apparel wastage decrease.
SOCIAL IMPACT
Work With Factories
We engage in a range of due diligence activities to promote fair labor practices and ensure good working conditions in our factories.
Care for workers
Our supply chain fabric and garment making mills have obtained the BSCI for ethical and fair wages practice that impacts 3,000 workers.
Working with Mills
We foster the globe building relationships with suppliers that make high-quality materials and operate buildings in a way that minimizes the need for energy, i.e. using daylight-design features.
Transportation
Our greenhouse gas emissions footprint for shipping (both inbound and outbound) is around 8% of our total emissions footprint.
To reduce our transportation footprint, we are increasing the use of drop shipping so as to minimize the need for inbound air shipments.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Recycling
3,600 tons of CO2 emission reduction equivalent by adopting the sustainable and recycle material and fabric by the retailers.
Organic Cotton
Since 2018, all of the cotton production development and design are grown organically, without harmful chemicals .
By using organic cotton, we save water and reduce CO² emissions by 45% compared to conventional cotton.
Organic Fiber
We are investing in and testing ways to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere through regenerative organic fiber by partnership with Vertical.
Waste Reduction
Our 4tify - go program help users make use of old clothing, giving them new values and functions using nano spray on technology, cutting down consumption.
